Cacique®

MIINC Mechanical has initiated a $19 million project at its new plant to produce Oaxaca cheese. The project included the provision of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and compressed air systems for packaging warehouses, company offices, and various processing rooms.

During the project, MIINC encountered several challenges. One challenge was keeping a constant temperature of 43°F in every processing room, which required 12-14 HVAC rooftop units (RTUs) per room. Moreover, an unfinished design and ongoing modifications to the facility layout required constant changes. Coordinating with other contractors and cutting and flying in pipe segments for completed spaces posed additional logistical hurdles.

During the project, MIINC technicians creatively hung pipes to improve accessibility, designing an efficient system to minimize downtime for pipe repairs. Despite the ongoing difficulties, MIINC skillfully adapted and implemented solutions to overcome all obstacles.
The work on the Cacique project has highlighted MIINC Mechanical’s proficiency in handling complex and evolving jobs.
